We are about to play a team that has their weak side DE line on a 45 degree angle and shoot the hip off of the tackles down block and play flat down the ling. This kids is a pretty good athlete an tries to run everything down from the back side. What is the best way to take advantage of his aggressiveness? I was thinking of a red/blue or a slot look and try to wash him down with a back and run outside. Your thoughts?

Waggle should work out of 100/900 bc he'll be easy to log when he closes.

And red/blue formation, bucksweep weak (pin him with wing when he closes).

Belly sweep out of 100/900. Tackle down blocks and diveback pins DE in (log). Guard(s) can pull to lead play.

Out of 100/900...Waggle is really good, and so is Quick Pitch.

Belly sweep is a great compliment. It works really well if your FB is dominant. Our FB has over 1400 yds. in 8 games, mostly running belly/crossblock. Our HB that usually runs belly sweep has consistently gained over 10 yds. when we run it. It took our team a while to install it, but once we did it has exploded for us.

We run belly sweep like waggle. I like from, i guess you call it red/blue

X X X C X X X
X Q X

F

But we also run it from 100 (we call it 800)

LT blocks Down
LH blocks down
LG pulls and hooks
C blocks back for RG
RG pulls and leads
RT Pull check
FB fakes belly left fills open gap
RH full speed through heels of FB runs wide with ball
QB fakes belly and hands off to RH
WR either crack block or run of CB
