Thread: Bucksweep vs. 3-3 stack

  1. Default Bucksweep vs. 3-3 stack

Do any of you guys run Buck vs. a 3-3 stack? If so, what adjustments do you make if any? How do you account for the Middle Stacked Backer Blitzing front side A?

Some thoughts that you may or may not like...

    1. Run Power or Power Sweep. Keeps the PSG in and is good against blitzing teams.

    2. Have the Center step play side and have the PST tackle come down to help on the Mike.

    3. Pull the PST and keep the PSG home for the MLB.

    4. Rocket is pretty good vs. the interior blitz.

    5. Go unbalanced. Tackles over. See if they shift the front to the TE side.

Use any of the unbalanced or trips formations.

Thanks coaches. I do like both power and rocket. What things do you look for specifically when you go unbalanced or trips?

Center has playside A and FB has backside A.

Playside T should down block to the MLB. Of course if someone crosses his face, he blocks him. So if the DE slants in, he should block him. If the ILB blitzes in B, he should block him.
